Ragtag Film Society Community DIY Workshops

Ragtag Film Society is excited to announce our new Community DIY Workshop series! These workshops are designed to provide community members with hands-on experiences within the visual arts, enabling participants to leave with something they've created or having learned a new skill. Leveraging the vast resources of the Fest and Cinema, these workshops will be led by cutting edge filmmakers, artists, musicians, poets, dancers, actors, playwrights, authors, storytellers, and more!

Check out our Fall 2020 lineup below, and stay tuned for our Spring 2021 lineup announcement!

Ragtag Film Society is sponsoring this program in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council and with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Filmmaker Happy Hour: Virtual Workshop with the Ross Brothers

  • Friday, Dec. 4; 7–8:30pm CST
  • Location: Virtual (Zoom)
  • Instructors: Bill and Turner Ross
  • Cost: $125

Join world-renowned filmmakers and True/False Film Fest alums Bill and Turner Ross (aka the Ross Brothers) for a virtual storytelling and cocktail workshop! Over the course of the evening, you'll make two cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available) with the Ross Brothers as they share filmmaking tales that delicately dance on the slash between "true" and "false", and answer your burning questions.

One week prior to the workshop, you will receive a special package of cocktail ingredients and garnishes, tools, a list of alcohol that you can supply (so you can choose your favorite liquor, if that's your thing), and some True/False goodies! A zoom link will be sent to each participant one day prior to the workshop.
