Harriet + discussion reprise

Our Harriet post-film discussion was so popular, we decided to bring it back! After the Wednesday, November 20, 7pm screening of Harriet, join Ragtag and The Carter Center for K-12 Black History Education for a discussion led by Dr. LaGarret King, associate professor at MU’s Department of Learning, Teaching and Curriculum.

Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, Harriet tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman's escape from slavery and transformation into one of America's greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

"An impassioned, edifying portrait of a remarkable life, and a fitting showcase for the considerable talents of its star, Tony-winning British actress Cynthia Erivo." (Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly)
